Ransomed Life is looking for volunteers to help in 3 areas of our mentor program!

MENTORS

Ransomed Life is looking for volunteers willing to commit a minimum of 1 year to supporting, encouraging and guiding one of our amazing resilient youths. This position involves approximately 10 hours a month, which includes a minimum of weekly contact with the youth both in person and/or via text/phone. Volunteers in this program are excited about building a caring, supportive and encouraging relationship with a teenager that is recovering from trauma. They understand that consistency and persistence are needed to build a trusting relationship. They are ready to work with the Ransomed Life Team to build the best environment possible for healing and recovery.

FORWARD HOPE

Ransomed Life is looking for volunteers to assist with girls that are not yet assigned to a mentor. This position involves texting, phone calls and attending group events. Volunteers for this program are the first point of contact from the organization for youth in community, so they would need to be informative, encouraging, supportive and persistent of the youth and our programs. The goal is to engage the youth in our program and to get them excited about getting a mentor. Are you outgoing? Do you have a flexible schedule that allows to talk or text during the day or evening? Can you attend weekend events?

VISITATION TEAM

Ransomed Life is looking for volunteers to visit with girls in placement or detention for a set hour each week. Currently, we visit with girls via Zoom at Krier from 4-5 on Thursdays. Volunteers for this program are first point of contact for the youth in detention, the youth maybe familiar with the program or this maybe a new referral and the youth may just be starting their healing journey. Are you outgoing? Do you have good conversation skills with teenagers? Do you have experience working with youth in crisis?
