“Bringing Ransomed Life to our district has made such an impact on the way that our students view human sex trafficking, sextortion, and how they navigate social media and the internet. Ransomed life presenters use developmentally appropriate language and information to deliver the facts without fear. In my experience working with parents and families, I have noticed that there is a hesitation in talking with students about these topics because it can be uncomfortable to have with their children. The reality is that with the accessibility of the internet and information students will encounter these topics regardless and take action and form their own opinions without the information and conversations with a trusted adult. Since we implemented Ransomed Life at our district this year we have noticed a decrease in students engaging in inappropriate online behavior as well as reporting to our counselors less about online relationships that they are having with people they may not know directly. We hope to continue our partnership with Ransomed life for years to come and hopefully act before another child becomes a victim.” - Michele, Director of Counseling
